Alex is trying to be a high-school student, plain and simple, but events keep conspiring against him--events and those guys in the dark suits who are trying to kill him. And that mysterious girl. . . who's also trying to kill him. And where'd he learn to ride a motorcycle like that? And fight like that? And shoot like that? So many things in his life seemed a mystery . . . until now.
Imagine waking up one day and suddenly remembering that you spent half your childhood being trained as the most dangerous spy alive. Martial arts? No problem. Heavy assault weapons? Piece o' cake. You can operate vehicles that the military doesn't know exist. And you're getting a "C" in math. Grasp all that and you'll have an inkling of what it is to be. . .
Dark Horse has enlisted long-time star scribe and well-known writer of stuff, Peter David, to chronicle Alex's adventures. If Peter's twelve-year run on The Incredible Hulk, his stints on Aquaman and X-Factor, several best-selling Star Trek novels, and his current assignments on Supergirl and Young Justice weren't enough to convince editor Phil Amara that Peter was the guy for the job, Peter's idea for promotional SpyBoy sunglasses cinched the deal. His versatility and ability to write fun, exciting characters of all ages didn't hurt, either.
Pencil-art duties were given to talented rising star Pop Mhan, best known for his work on The Flash, Magic: The Gathering, and Avengelyne. Pop has demonstrated an incredible range of artistic styles over his career, and we think you'll agree that his work on SpyBoy sets a new high mark for dangerously cool adventure!
With the addition of the extraordinary inking skills of Norman Lee and computer-coloring magic of Guy Major, these creators have put together a package that will have fans talking, and nefarious secret organizations looking for mole agents and information leaks.
This fall, get in the know with SpyBoy. (And keep your eye on that guy at the corner ... I think he's following you.)
