MAY 27
NAME: Kelly Sonnack
A sentence about what comics-related work you do and/or are known for:
Literary Agent for children's books, including juvenile graphic novels such as James Burks' BIRD AND SQUIRREL: ON THE RUN! and the upcoming BIRD AND SQUIRREL: ON ICE! (both Graphix/Scholastic), and Elizabeth Rusch's and Mike Lawrence's upcoming MUDDY MAX: THE MYSTERY OF MARSH CREEK (AMP!/Andrews McMeel).
What are your favorite working tools?
Though maybe not favorites, my most utilized are definitely my computer and my phone!
What talent would you most like to have?
To be able to transport anywhere, at will. Though it's easy to conduct business across the country/world from my clients, it's a treat to have face-to-face time.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Being a Working Mother. It's so much harder than I ever understood. But both are so rewarding, so I'm very, very lucky to have both!
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I love living in San Diego, but I wouldn't mind the wine country of Napa/Sonoma, or Mendoza, Argentina. Or the beach town of Búzios, Brazil.
What is it that you most dislike?
Arrogance and ignorance.
Who are your heroes (fiction or non)?
Teachers. And Beatrix Kiddo. Talk about a Working Mom!
